Featured Profile: Brook & River

Brook & River are an interesting little band.  They come off as wholesome, easy listening; but there’s much more dwelling beneath their soft melodious exterior.  They curiously apply a lackadaisical vocal approach to zesty, lively lyrics.  This paradoxical element, of sounding seemingly lackluster and uninterested in the very songs being sung, about aching love, life, fun, and hope, conjures emotive spirits from a psychedelic realm.  As they float you through their predominately acoustic episodes, Brook & River sometimes wander off into hazy, dirty jams.  Dirty Hippie Radio digs their infectious folky sound, and we think you will too.

Brook & River continue to expand their catalogue and mature as artist’s before our eyes.  They’ve been with us since the beginning, and as fans we eagerly await any new material they turn out.  Thanks guys.  ~Dirty Jeff
