We’re not sure what’s up with Derek Philbert. We know he’s diversely talented, and that the world should know his gorgeous song “Get Well Soon.” We’re just not sure where he’s going.
Derek’s one of those innately endowed artists, who can seemingly do whatever he wishes musically. For now, we have a gem of an acoustic-based piece, juxtaposed with a few experimental pieces based in ambient and atmospheric mix and loop effects. We can’t wait to see where this guy’s going to take us, but we can only expect great things.
