Eymarel

album cover

Eymarel: psych-electronic-gypsy-queen: elegant angel operating heavy machinery.

It’s difficult to claim a specific genre for this group’s electro-gypsy-talk.   ‘Et Lux Luceat Eis’, a new track from Eymarel, begins with an incredible orchestrated vocalization, inducing a dizzy trance over the listener, rendering them completely unprepared for the heavy electro-fury which follows.  Though, one can’t truly pigeon hole Eymarel into the electronica genre, with the heavy drums and brass, powerful soul driven female vocals backed by heavy dance and trance beats, and the occasional inclination toward hip hop.  The keys have a pleasant Robert Miles type aura, with an ass like J-LO and a fist full of fire-ants.  The lyrics preach of love and heartbreak, speak the truth of dishonesty, and lay down the law for the rules of the heart.  Eymarel invades your ears and informs your mind what you need to hear.

Their live show is completely unpredictable; it’s a constant battle to decide whether you need to stand still and listen up, or spin in heavy, sweaty circles.  It’s not simply going to see a show, its a funky spiritual experience.   ~DHR Associate Writer, Dirty Ryan G.

Keep a look out for delicious auspices on the horizon, as we at Dirty Hippie Radio have been informed of Eymarel’s union with Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band. ~DHR
