This delicious record comes to us from lovely San Francisco, by way of the vocally endowed Collin Ludlow-Mattson. Collin laces and grinds his Neil Young-esque voice across melodic, organ-laden, folky psych tunes, with help from the Folks. It’s essentially a collaborative album, combining the talents of a group of friends who’re productive musicians in their own right (including Matt Adams, a mainstay on DHR with The Blank Tapes), centered around Collin’s writing prowess.

We found Tall Tales and The Silver Lining, and we loved them… Then we bumped into Franklin For Short at a show which we actually presented, and discovered that core members of Tall Tales were also in that band… And a core member of Franklin was none other than Seth Pettersen… Thus, we finally learned of Seth Pettersen and The Undertow.
